ATLAS and Northwind
ATLAS SP Partners is a securtized products business that is majority owned by Apollo. Apollo’s AUM is $1 trillion.
Northwind is a New York-based real estate private equity and private credit investor. It’s AUM was reported as $2.5 billion (Nov 2025).

$300 million financing for real estate loans
ATLAS is providing $300m of capital to a Northwind fund – which Northwind says will reduce its cost of capital.
The value for Northwind is that it can provide more aggressive pricing to its real estate customers (borrowers) – winning more business. The money is expected to be lent in New York City and other major US cities – on multifamily residential, for-sale condos, industrial, office and other real estate.
Piping that helps capital get deployed
The value for ATLAS is that they are able to deploy capital. There is a tremendous amount of capital to be deployed across the large credit funds – and finding homes for this capital has become more difficult now that sectors like software have fallen out of favour. This investment with Northwind might be differentiated – providing diversification, and might be scalable if Northwind is able to rapidly grow.
